My first experience in a band was in 1990 when a bunch of friends and I started jamming in a garage. We were loud and full of energy and people would drop in to hear the chaos or stand in. I meet a lot of cool people and made great friends. I still play with some of them today but only the clean and sober.Have you performed in front of an audience?I mostly play with my bluegrass buddies outdoors when the weather is good. I don't like being on stage but love sitting in a circle taking turns pick'n songs together. Years ago I was in a ME band playing for a belly dance troop. I played Dumbek and Oud. It scarred me to death. Not the music which I really enjoyed but the women were scarry as hell.
Your musical influences
I'm stuck in the 60's. I like to cover the older tunes. Once in a great while an original song pops outa me.What equipment do you use?
Acoustic but I have all the bells and whistles collecting dust. Washburn HB-35, Washburn Acoustic/Electric, 12 string, Oud, "67 Fender Amp (tubes Baby!)Anything else?
I have composed three original tunes so far. I don't know if I have another in me but you never know.All comments (1)
