The Coma Los Angeles based band from Keyser, WV Atmospheric Rock Re-Imagined
Founded in 2025, The Coma has swiftly become one of Southern California’s most compelling musical collectives. Drawing from the brooding intensity of The Deftone's, the psychedelic expansiveness of Pink Floyd, and a spectrum of contemporary and classic influences, the band crafts immersive soundscapes that resonate with both seasoned audiophiles and casual listeners alike.
Who We Are
The Coma is a fourpiece ensemble rooted in the vibrant cultural tapestry of Los Angeles. Together, they merge technical mastery with emotive storytelling, forging a signature sound that is simultaneously familiar and entirely fresh.
Musical DNA
Deftone's Inspired Dynamics: A potent blend of heavy, down tuned guitar work and ethereal vocal layers creates a push and pull tension that keeps listeners on the edge of anticipation.
Pink Floyd Era Exploration: Expansive, cinematic passages and meticulously crafted production invite audiences into a sonic journey that feels as much a visual experience as an auditory one.
Eclectic Influences: From the ambient textures of Nine Inch Nails to the melodic sensibility of Radiohead, The Coma embraces a broad palette, ensuring each release contains a new facet of their artistic identity.
Our Sound
The Coma’s catalog is defined by three core pillars:
Atmospheric Depth Layered guitars, analog synths, and reverberant vocals produce a three dimensional soundstage that transports listeners to an introspective realm.
Emotional Resonance Lyrically, the band explores themes of existential yearning, urban alienation, and personal rebirth, striking a universal chord across demographics.
Dynamic Contrast From bone crushing crescendos to minimalist interludes, songs are meticulously structured to maintain tension and release, keeping audiences engaged from the opening bar to the final note.
Vision & Future
The Coma is committed to pushing the boundaries of contemporary rock while honoring the legacy of its influences. Their latest full length album, “ATLAS, released in January2026, will incorporate psychedelic arrangements and avantgarde production techniques, signaling an evolution toward an even more expansive sonic horizon. With such tracks as: Further Apart, Nevermind, Beneath The Dying Light, Ether Pulse Destructive Game, and “Hurt a Johnny Cash Cover.
