Blues Rock

I am an home recording artists minus a band who love's playing with and meeting new musicians.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I think it would be fantastic to play live and I really hope to someday do just that.
Your musical influences
Blues, Rock, Vaudeville; It's all in there. I also find great inspiration from people who've done something different. I don't mean clever or complicated, just something that sets them apart from the mainstream. People who choose to do things they're way.
What equipment do you use?
PC Hardware: My recorder is an HP XW Dual Xeon workstation running UbuntuStudio Linux. On this subject, I'm really a Slackware Linux fan, but UbuntuStudio is fanf*&$n'tastic. Software: I use solely Ardour. It's fully featured, FLOSS and the later version 2 releases are great! Mixer: Alesis MultiMix 6FX - This needs upgrading! Cables: Wow! God only knows! Guitar Amps: 120Watt Line 6 Spider III Not Really a fan of SpiderIII, but a great tool in the studio none-the-less. I normally use it on a clean channel only. 2 X Laney LG12's. These are great! Everyone should have them. The sound on these thing are great. I've used both at these at the same time on recording's for a sort of daisy-chain effect thing on the same guitar. Pedals: Marshall Reflector Reverb Pedal. Marshall Blues Breaker II. Marshall ED-1 Compressor Snarling Dog Mold spore Wah. Drum Kits: Yamaha Stage Custom Acoustic Kit. Alesis DM5 Pro Electronic Drum Kit. Keyboards: Yamaha GX220 Keyboard. Guitars: Stock 50th Anniversary Squire Strat. This is my baby! I love this thing! Yamaha C series Spanish acoustic. Epiphone Dot Studio. Dean Neck and Bridge Humbuckered Something - Watch this space. Crafter Cruiser Bass. Ibanez EN Steel String Acoustic. Monitoring: Really old 30'ish year old 4 Channel Sony amp with some really crappy speakers. TakStar TS-610 Headphone - Buy with confidence. Don't use them with your guitar amp though. Anything else?
You know, some things just haven't changed over the years. You will still find tens of thousands of people queuing for an xfactor audition and only a handful of people working hard to write a song and put some music to it. To my fellow amateurs out there, I'm proud of you guy's. You guy's keep working hard. When you listen back to something you've recorded, try and give yourself a break every now and then. Find something positive every now and then. The songs are yours and you've created them and that makes all the difference.
