The Summer Breeze Music Project by Bill Miles is a musical solo performance act with a repertoire of more than 80 popular/easy listening songs primarily from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. In this musical project Bill sings and accompanies himself on either piano or acoustic guitar with additional supporting background parts which he composed and arranged using MIDI technology. The goals of the Summer Breeze Music Project are:
- Provide a musical tribute to the well known songs and original musical artists.
- Convey a sense of appreciation for music from that era.
- Kindle warm feelings and fond memories from that "Feel Good" time in pop music history.
Bill Miles grew up in the Chicagoland area. He began his professional music career as an orchestra pit percussionist for the Illinois Theatre Center in Park Forest, IL at the age of 15. Bill majored in music at Northern Illinois University and performed all over Europe with the NIU Jazz Ensemble as a percussionist. He has toured much of the continental US in Top 40 bands playing drums, keyboards and singing lead as well as background harmonies. Bill has also taught public school music in Illinois and Arizona. Bill currently lives in Mesa, Arizona working by day as a web developer and performing popular music in the Summer Breeze Music Project nights and weekends.
