Springload
Springload was formed in the bowels of Wiley Hall at the eve of the Fall of 2006 in the behemoth school of Purdue University. Tired of the musical complacency that surrounded them, our heroes set out to accomplish something different. "Snickers and Coke" was the first composition, a very melodic guitar and vocals pattern over a very "Neil Pearty" drum rhythm. One does not have to listen to hard to hear the influence on this group; a mix of the prog-rock music of yesterday, and the hard rockin' tracks of day. Mixed with a little good humor, and you have the basic Springload sound.
Springload has been featured in Purdue University's newspaper The Exponent and in the weekly podcast of Lafayette's Journal & Courier. The band has played dozens of shows inLafayette, West Lafayette, and Bloomington IN, and Barrington, IL. The band is currently recording a full length album in Sound Logic Studios in Lafayette, IN. In the recent months they have been through Chicago and Indy as well.
