Handmade craft by a man whose soul sees better than his eyes do. Visually challenged mixed media based in Southwestern USA. Primitive Clay Pottery, Sculpture, Paint, and Electronic Instrumental.
A man of many hats, the artist behind the soulful project is a well rounded artisan and scientist, with hands in as many disciplines as the music is allowed to be influenced by.
Independently studying the electronic production of music since 2019, his roots can be traced back to time in the womb. Everything from Tejano to Funk, Country to R&B, HipHop to Metal, and beyond has crossed the headphones of SoulSeesBest, better known as WriterJoshua, or Joshua Lucero.
SoulSeesBest, as a passion project, was borne out of a response to the artists visual challenges, and in the overcoming of them. Losing sight to the degenerative eye disease, keratoconus, inspired the naturally gifted athlete and scholar to embrace the circumstance and continue to be a creative force in the worlds of creative writing, photography, pottery, painting, cooking, and music production.
The IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) Electronica elements can be traced back to many different influences. Sometimes, one must go track by track to fully understand them all, however, some of the more prominent inspiration throughout includes: Military Drums, Trap and Southern Rap, R&B and Soul, Alternative Rock and Metal, Tribal, World Music, Funk, Video Game Score, Cinematic Soundtracks, Old Hollywood, Golden Oldies, and Classic Television.

The inaugural presentation by SoulSeesBest has been in production for over 15 years. Many tracks in this collection have been in and out of the lab, and privately enjoyed since 2019.
After tinkering with social media, and studying options for publishing, the time was right to share this innovative digital orchestra with the universe. Originally intended to be instrumental music for future vocal projects, the time and energy that went into each individual piece of music was too rich not to be made available to alternative audiences.
Handcraft (2025) is an ode to the unseen. Works from a man whos soul sees better than his eyes do have be honed with an ailing sense of vision, but also enhanced, by the developing senses unaffected by the eye. What makes so much of Popular music successful is often overlooked. The frontman, or vocalists, are often touted as the main focus but, the truly remarkable music across modern history is only made possible by the tireless efforts of musicians, sound engineers, and the technical components, that the average listener may not give a second thought to.
In life, as in music, greatness is often beautifully gifted from the less obvious, the more subtle, from the unseen.
Handcraft (2025) is for the craftsman, the innovative thinkers, the piano movers that make popular music everything that it is, today.
This one is dedicated to the unseen.
