Well, to start off, my real name is Miguel. In the sixth grade I had an English teacher named Mr. Craig. He basically forced me into a poetry competition and I had to give it my all. I ended up falling in love with poetry, and ever since, my love for music grew strong and I started rapping and making beats and DJing at clubs. I live in the Bronx, New York so I was always into Hip-Hop, Rap, and R & B. But for the past 5 years of my life, my taste for music grew more picky. I started liking Hip-Hop, the REAL Hip-Hop. Old School, back to KRS-1 and Wu Tang Clan, Boogie Down Productions and Tupac. I had to make this music because it was dying and my style changed from regular rap to out of the ordinary Hip-Hop.Band/artist history
N/AHave you performed in front of an audience?I've performed at poetry slams and freestyle competitions in New York, but I never performed a song. At least I won't get stage fright when I do perform for the first time.
Your musical influences
Too many to mention them all: Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Common, T.I., Eminem, Nas, Tupac, B.I.G, KRS-1, Wu Tang, and so much more. What equipment do you use?
Fruity Loops, My Sister's Laptop, Virtual DJ, and some other random stuff.Anything else?
Even tho I have so many years of experience lyrically speaking, I have little experience in recording. I've been to a studio once or twice, but most of the stuff I record has low quality, but i'd rather be making something somehow, than not making anything at all. Call it bootleg or trash, but it's something, and to me, it makes a big difference in the way I live my life now.
