SiNG iT Brantford
We are 16 singer-songwriters from Brantford Ontario Canada. Ages 6-16 and 3 adults. 15 of us are vocal music students of Joan Minnery. This year, as lessons needed to be paused due to Lockdown and the Pandemic, we had to do things differently -- and as we had already considered the idea of everyone writing original music -- it was the perfect time to PERFECT that idea -- and so we began writing and writing. Now, here we are with 20 original SOLO songs written by the students and with some finessing from Joan -- we have SiNG iT Brantford
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We were singers, and mainly JUST singers. 2020 brought us into a brand new playing field. Online music lessons are tough and online VOCAL LESSONS are tougher -- so we began writing and an idea grew as the vision grew.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
A LOT --- way too may to list but the highlights would be definitely the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts and all of our MANY many festivals and fairs throughout Ontario Canada.
