Shira Hoffman
Shira began her musical career at the early age of 5 when she was forced to take piano lessons, even though she hated reading sheet music and couldn't stand playing classical tunes. Instead of reading the music, she began to play whatever she heard on the radio by ear.
She continued to take lessons until the age of 15, where she was given a guitar for her birthday, and proceeded to teach herself how to play from a chord-guide she found in her mother's old guitar case.
Her writing and performing style is strongly influenced by great female vocalists such as Grace Potter, Susan Tedeschi and Lucinda Williams. She has been playing small venues around the Boston and Cape Cod area, as well as in Pennsylvania where she is currently attending college.
Shira is currently working on finishing her debut demo-album with Steve Patton of the "Have Nots".Admin
