Scott Free Recordings
Scott Free Recordings is a Kentucky-based independent hip hop label formed in 2005. The label consist of Scott Free, Pooh Sniper, Lil B, J-Cross, Fatt Daddy Drac, & King G.
Scott Free Recordings is also home to two sub-labels, Sniperlab Productions & Crossed Out Records, operated by Pooh Sniper & J-Cross respectively.
Sniperlab Productions was formed by Sharpsburg, Kentucky native, Pooh Sniper. Besides featuring the talent of Pooh Sniper and TRC, as well as female vocalists Dot & Sarah, Sniperlab Productions also produces original beats & instrumentals. The group TRC (established by Pooh Sniper, Fatt Daddy Drac, & King G) operates as a joint venture between Scott Free Recordings & Sniperlab Productions.
After numerous collaborations with various SFR artists, Lil B, originally from Oakland California, & Columbus Ohio native J-Cross teamed to create Crossed Out Records in 2008 as a sub-label to distribute their individual releases through.
Scott Free Recordings has recently featured Mt. Sterling area artists, MG & Poster Child, on many of their newest releases. The SFR family regularly performs in the Mt. Sterling/Lexington area and has released over a dozen independent albums over the last 3 years.
