Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Satellite 484 started out in 2005 with Paul J M Pinto and Matt Pinchin.
Pinchin left in 2009 and formed a cover band Mallaboobo all stars. Matt was replaced by Cherie A Pinto and in 2015 the group released 4 studio albums (Moonstruck,valley of dreams,Lost in the atmosphere,Submerged) .The albums featured material and recordings produced between 2009 and 2015.
In 2016 the band released (Mirage) album.
In 2018 the band started to drift away from the ambient sound and experimented with more lively percussion ideas later that year they released Island LFOS .The album expressed the political and enviromentall madness that England was and is still facing at that time.
In 2020 the band released Open Portal a collection of B sides and remixes that where found in the studio .
Satellite 484 are busy on a new project and material live shows to be announced.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we do we prefer doing internet live concerts instead of venues we do this to target the right audience .We have started doing instagram and facebook live with analogue synthesisers. We are working on several live sessions
Your musical influences
Eat statick,Ott,Blueteck,The future sounds of London,the orb,Shpongle Entheogenic, carbon Based lifeforms, Autechre, aphex twin,squear pusher , and many more we listen to so much music.
What equipment do you use?
Synthesisers, samplers, various guitars, apps ,modular synthersisers and many forms of percussion instruments .We use everything that we can get our hands on we are very open to new ideas and sounds.Our home has been transformed into a recording studio.
