Drum n Bass

S.A.D.S has kept a low profile in the Drum & Bass scene, DJ'ing in University bars and house parties untill his move to Edinburgh which saw him play in places such as Sneaky Pete's, The Hive, GRV, Cabaret Voltaire & The Bongo Club. Mixing isn't the only thing this this 'ear DJ can do. S.A.D.S involves himself in VJ'ing, graphic design and music production. He also helps run nu-fire, a night every monday @ Sneaky Pete's that promotes nu talent underground sounds and unseen art. Along the side the Audio K, S.A.D.S and a group of aspiring individuals help put on great nights aimed at promoting Edinburgh's and the country's unsung, unknown talent.
Band/artist history
No history apart from making tunes I know certain people will appreciate.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've been playing in clubs for over a year now and love it. The crowds energy really keeps me going. Last gig I played was in Glasgow at a night called Pangea. Good vibe, the punters really liked the get up & dance feel of the mix!
Your musical influences
Drum and Bass though the ages, Plus a stong like to Hiphop, Old Skool, and the UK scene, respect to all the new tallent out there.
What equipment do you use?
1200 Series, CDJ Series... That's prefered, but any set of decks & mixer really. I tend to use CD decks more so now due to ease of access to my music collection and easy of use.
Anything else?
That's it. Just keep grrovin' jivin' and all the above. Love thy music, love thy art, and most of all, love thy decks. And they'll love ya back.
