Stryf Sonik is an independent music producer and recording artist from Richmond, Va. As an artist, his style is weird and unorthodox, his lyrics are deep and thought provoking and lean more towards poetry than that of today's conventional commercial rap artists. A self professed "free-thinker", Stryf can't be fit into a box; he's the type of guy who will scream on a rap track and spit knowledge over a trap beat. Oftentimes snarky and sarcastic, he delivers with the wit of an initiate of transcendental esoteric knowledge blended with the biting cynisim of a realist; listen to this guy at your own risk. If you're comfortable believing you are a sheep, don't listen to this guy rap, AT ALL; he may convince you that you are the shepherd. Outside of the realm of hip hop, he is also the go-to recording engineer of countless other artists, producer to some and mastering engineer to others. I got my start in Bob Kaufman's Radio Broadcasting and Journalism course in high school, completed a 2 year program in one year. I had started rapping when I was 14 and taught myself how to use digital recording systems in their infancy, before pro tools was affordable and standalone digital multitracks were the norm. I started building a home studio from the ground up and got good at mixing and recording by recording myself and my friends. A falling out with a producer/friend led me to start making my own beats. Since then, over a decade ago, I've produced for countless artists and recorded, mixed, mastered, remixed and mentored countless others.Have you performed in front of an audience?Not at the present
