RuZANNA, is an international alternative pop recording artist/songwriter signed with Beverly Hills based record label JMWest Entertainment.
Her debut single Let It Out, is making its way to radio now and will officially launch in March of 2014.
RuZANNA draws her musical influences from artists across genres, ranging from Portishead and Dépêche Mode to Sting and even Rachmaninoff.
Growing up in Kokshetau Kazakhstan, I sought out different styles of music. I listened to pop and alternative rock and also to genres like funk, dub, jazz and reggae. I love quality music, it doesnt matter what the style is.
Let It Out is one of many singles emerging from the collaboration between RuZANNA and record producer and composer Jean-Michel Soupraya. RuZANNA, says Soupraya, is that special type of recording artist that we all long to work with there is a meeting of the minds, a true collaboration. She brings so much to the table and her soul is as solid as her vocals.
What draws people in to RuZANNAs music is her trademark long steady sirens call, the purity of her vocal, the universal messages woven through her self-penned lyrics and, of coarse, her seductive sound.
With a full EP in the works, you can expect much more from RuZANNA in coming singles. I sing with my heart. Im very sincere. Im open; my soul is open.
The singles comprising RuZANNAs debut EP include Will You Be There an acoustic ballad sung in both English and Kazakh, Let it Out an electronic anthem, Whats Tomorrow Gonna Bring an aggressive up-tempo song with a pop-rock feel, You Dont Know How To Love an epic ambient love song, and the sassy mid-tempo pop infused, Never Never. Her ability to carry the same steady soul of herself as she plays with elements of different genres, incorporating them into her own, is a rare and beautiful thing.
RuZANNA, adds composer/arranger Franck Gelibert, is what I call a real musician. She has the talent, the heart, the skill, and the discipline to match the greats.
Her kind, thoughtful, and quietly intellectual personality comes across through her music and lyrics. Growing up in Kazakhstan (in the former Soviet Union), RuZANNAs childhood was devoted to study and artistic training. She began her classical piano training at the age of eight. By fourteen, she had toured the country with her dancing group, winning competitions with ease. Thanks to an accelerated program she finished school at fifteen and enrolled in the Kazakh National Academy of Arts to study Choreography.
It was her call to popular/variety music that brought her to Hollywood where she enrolled in the Musicians Institute, surrounding herself with other musicians and committing herself to the path of her heart. I strive to become a respected and successful musician, songwriter and singer among fellow musicians.
I want to create the style of music I love: music made with the soul, music that is pleasant not only for the ears but for the mind as well.
