Death/Black Metal

From Encyclopaedia Metallum: "Rotting Serpent was created in 2003 as an "Unblack Metal" project by Michael Mosher under the pseudonym "Bloodbath." They define their music as "Suicidal" Unblack Metal, citing the scripture from Collossians 3:5, which calls for believers to "mortify" their carnal impulses with regards to their spiritual journey. The band uses a parody of the Rotting Christ logo (a band which Michael openly admires), as being reminiscent of 'old-school' Christian 'Black' Metal bands such as Horde, whose logo is said to be a parody of Darkthrone."
Band/artist history
See introductory statement.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Due to the fact of this being a one-man project no live shows have been performed, nor contemplated, as of yet.
Your musical influences
While many of the artists who influence Rotting Serpents' sound will probably be evident to any rudimentary fan of depressive black metal in general, it goes without saying that (being a fan of dsbm and various styles of heavy metal) some of these deserve special credit: Dissection, Make A Change... Kill Yourself, Antestor (older material), When Mine Eyes Blacken. While this list is by no means exhaustive, these are probably the most prevalent from album to album.
What equipment do you use?
First Act guitars (available at Wal-Mart), Cort basses, Audacity and Wavepad sound editors, FL Studio 8, Fruity Loops 3.0 and 3.5
Anything else?
"The fool says in his heart "there is no God."" (Proverbs)
