Room 51

Hey Hey!!! We're Room 51!! Thanx for checking us out...we're a 4 pience band from Newcastle, England!! Please listen to our songs, which we really hope you like!! our band got together in around febuary 2007 where we went to school together. nathan and david (guitar and drums) used to jam on together and then recruited jake (bass) and shaun (vocals and keys). the band formed in the room at school where they practiced (room 51) hence the name of the band. room 51 started off playing cover songs and had their first gig in may 2007 at school. so far room 51 have played many gigs local to the newcastle and consett area and have so far gained a good following of fans. in summer of 2008 room 51 traveled down to manchester and played a gig at the ruby lounge which was televised on sky television as part of a global icon competition. room 51 have 9 origonal songs that have been written over the past year and are part of what is hoping to become a 14 track ep. room 51 also have a music video on youtube for on of their songs titled "no star". the genre of music the room 51 write is not a predetermined outcome...it is the product of all 4 band members influences merged into one. the influence room 51 have range from indie all the way to heavy metal: influences include bon jovi, guns n roses, free,the darkness, slayer, mettalica, bullet for my valentine and aerosmith. because the band members have different influences this is something that makes room 51 stand out as it means not all of the songs sound the same...every song has a different edge to it. the band members are all lively, energetic and slightly mad when it comes to hanging round together and everyone is always in laughter or has a smile when room 51 are around. we're just 4 lads from newcastle who love playing music so much and want to make it big and make it a living.

YEEAAASSSHHHH we love playing live...its what makes any part fo a band special...when we play live we tend not to stick to what we've recorded on tracks...we improvise, play off eachother...gives us a proper buzz!!! We had a local gig in a place called Capellas...was packed out...it was our own show and we had light, dry ice and pyrotechnics...absolutely awesome gig!!!

we have a broadrange from indie to metal to rock!! bands like Bon Jovi, GnR, Free, Mettalica, Blackstone cherry!! outr music kinda has its roots in classic rock with a modern twist
