Romey is my stage name. I am a singer songwriter and drummer. My songs are versatile, soft love songs, to heavy rock tunes, to sexy songs that have R and B flavor to them. Have no current line up of musicians but am looking for serious and well driven band members. The album is my debut and was recorded in Fairfield, NJ and is very tight due to the session guys that played in New York and Jersey area. So the sound is top of the line.Band/artist history
My endeavor to sing my own songs that I write sometimes alienates some musicians. I have formed several bands throughout the years and have been in several copy bands as the drummer and singer as well. My ability to be prolific as a singer songwriter has enabled me to write as of this day 232 songs. I have also been the primary arranger of those tunes and the guy who is constantly promoting them as well. I have alot of drive and am self motivated and it comes through in my musical aspirations.Have you performed in front of an audience?I have been in several bands and even played at the Jaguars Pep Rally to 10,000 fans there. Also sang in every bar in Jacksonville at some point as well. Enjoy performing live and enjoy the studio as well.
Your musical influences
My influences are as varied as my music. Learned how to sing from bands like Foreigner, Styx and Reo Speedwagon. Obviously hard to sing those high notes and once you learn that and have the range it makes singing a confident endeavor. Grew up on listening to Elvis and Zeppelin and Deep Purple etc. My songs do reflect that Classic Rock Period and my fans have commented on that aspect. I refer to it as New Classic Rock, if you dig old Classic Rock/Pop you'll more than likely like some of my material.What equipment do you use?
I prefer either Pearl drums or Ludwig. Microphones I prefer SM58 to record on and Shure mics period actually to sing on, however, the red Audio Technica I've had for 13 years still does a fine job for live performances on it's own.Anything else?
