You learned real quick on the streets of the west coast, and in the bayous of the dirty south your word is all you fucking have. H-Town, TX, for the last 20 years has been the story of my life but I grew up in Phoenix, AZ five to six hours from Los Angeles, CA where sometimes you might have found me sometimes too. But the "H" is my home now and it's about to get live.
I am the owner and "Executive Producer" of the up-and-coming record label Social Currency Global. As you listen to my music particularly this album, i want you to experience the joys, pain, emotions, and feelings of the "Black Experience. The album is dedicated to the social, love, or sex circumstances we as black folks go through on a day-to-day basis. The music and songs are tailored individually to relate to whatever mood you may find yourself in. Enjoy! -rich
Yes! I have performed live in front of an audience before. But for the last so years while building a music label Ive played the background in getting other artist prepared to bring their music to the stage, but now I feel its my time to bring my music and performance to the forefront, so thats the next move.
Were all standing on the shoulders of giants in this rap music industry artist like Tupac, Biggie, JayZ, Nas, Snoop, Wayne, Ross etc. and thats just a few in one genre, and thats not to mention RNB and the greats housed there from old to young, so trying to pinpoint a single artist as a single influence for me is particularly bias to me. In saying that I am influenced by all sorts of music from Jazz to RNB to Classical yes, I said it "Classical", instruments producing sounds are the main foundation of music and I never for some reason ever questioned myself while out there hustling in the streets coming up as to why I liked Mozart or Beethoven when I felt it not heard it. If whoever listens to my music feels something when they hear it positive or negative, then my job is done because in my opinion music is meant to feel not being heard.
I use my words and my mind as the equipment I use in this business. Then I melt that with the sounds of a dope producer.
Welcome to "The Black Experience!" listen close. Right now, our way of life is under attack and as an artist that grew up in a hood or lets just say the streets, I know the black experience is what made me what I am. So "rap" that up in my music and my business plan and then sell it. You must deliver your story in "your way", a way that builds a brand, your brand! But make it interesting while you do it. USE YOUR BRAIN! BE A BOSS! - Rich$Dawg
