Who is Rell Da Youngsta or Mr 868 is a question I heard a lot.So I made it my mission to let it be known.Rell Da Youngsta is a rapper,producer,song writer n engineer from Trinidad.Born on the island I was introduced to music at a very young age.It was like an addiction in the family, most of my uncles either sang or produced music.But I really wasnt into the soca n reggae that much.As a child I got hooked on poetry, started writing n had some of my poems published in the news paper.I moved to New York when I was 5 n started listening to hip hop/rap(mostly 2pac) but it really didn't sitck yet.But at age 15,after moving to South Philadelphia,the music finally kinda grabbed hold of me.Everybody n their mother rapped in philly.I was always a quick learner so I sat back n observed what rap consisted of.What was a verse,Puncline and hook.A few months later I was writing my own raps n I went from there.Countless lunchroom n street battles got me a little recognition which let me to the collaboration and later association with Lot Mafia n Bad Weather(Kap lova, Dnice, M Flame(now known as Preach), n C-Class.From the age of 15 to 16 they were my partners in crime.We were always in cyphers or just chillin on the block spittin.That helped me realize that we all sounded the same.It was all about the gun play n drug dealin.Cocaine n 40calibers,Weed n smith n wessons.I started thinkin to myself" how can I be set apart from the others,how can I stand out"?.So I changed my entire style n started mixin my book wit my street smarts n that took me to another level.By 17 there wasn't a topic I couldn't touch on that people didn't relate to.Also that year I built my own studio n started producing & mixing my own trax.That summer my style n delivery caught the eye of a well known Philadelphia rapper by the name of Blu Flame,which lead to me being featured on IM NOT A RAPPA UNDERGROUND DVD.But at the time my main focus wasn't rapping but producing.So I gave Flame a few beats n he later asked me if I wanted to join Upscale Music Group n it was like iight its wateva wit me.Now at the age of 18 im the producer for U.M.G records,Co-President of Alumni Records n im lookin into starting my own lil label.I feel like music helped me so much that its my obligation to let others know how it could be used to clear your mind or just a way to express yourself over a beat.So far every one I have come in contact wit is now either rapping or either producing.Its like I got a green thumb except wit music though.hahahaha...So if u ever have to ask who is Rell Da Youngsta he is a.....
