Reject Convention
Reject Convention: speed punk just like grandma used to make. We play Christian speed punk. Some marginally similar bands might be: RKL, Guttermouth, Suicidal Tendencies, DRI, 7 Seconds, and NOFX. First and foremost, we consider this a Christian ministry, and we are not afraid to actually mention the name of Jesus and other Biblical truths in our songs (unlike so many popular "Christian bands" these days). However, we aren't a praise band, and we think that you will definitely enjoy our music even if you don't agree with the message. That being said, we play a lot of different kinds of speed punk: hardcore, melodic, soCal, but it's always raw and energetic with excellent instrumentation. Well, listen and enjoy.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started by Daniel Kennedy in 2008, Reject Convention was begun to bring Jesus and speed punk to the world. Currently, Reject Convention is a one man operation: Daniel records the drums, guitar, bass, and vox by himself, and he also handles all the recording. Reject Convention is currently looking for a: drummer, bassist, vocalist, and guitarist.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Currently, no. But, we will hopefully be signed and touring in the not-so-distant future.
Your musical influences
Reject Convention is mostly influenced by speed punk: RKL, Suicidal Tendencies, DRI, NOFX, and 7 Seconds to name a few. Reject Convention also includes other elements in their songs, not limited to, but including: ska, reggae, hardcore, pop, and rock 'n roll. However, Reject Convention has decided that all their songs will be speed punk first, and all these genres and creatively and masterfully included in certain songs.
What equipment do you use?
Band equipment, you know: drums, electric guitars, bass, amps, microphones, etc...
Anything else?
Jesus died for your sins so you don't have to be eternally excommunicated from God in hell where there is agony and darkness. Believe that Jesus is God and that His death takes the blame for your sins, and give your life, your everything to Him.
