Randy G. Foncree is a gospel music artist from Bowling Green, Kentucky. He is married to Rena Lavette Foncree, who is herself a musician and singer, and sings with him on occasion. She has played the piano for several churches she's been a part of.
Randy's hope is to have his songs recorded by better known artists, who catch a glimpse of his vision to see others touched by uplifting and God-honoring songs. Randy's vision and aim is to spread the never changing, everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. He also wants to reach out to those hurting people in the body of Christ. He also reaches out to the elderly in our nursing homes.
Randy's preferred genre to sing and write are southern and country gospel, some praise and worship, and on occasion, contemporary songs. He also writes and sings comedy songs and recitations that teach a positive and Christ honoring message to children. These songs that are posted for your enjoyment are Randy's original songs. They are recorded in Danny Black Studios from Madisonville, Tennessee. Danny is also a gospel music artist and engineer, and does a fine job in producing these songs.
Randy prays and hopes what you find here will bring encouragement, or a life changing message to your life. God loved you enough to send His only Son, Jesus to die on a cruel cross so that you could be reconciled to God, and spend eternity with Him. God bless you as you enjoy Randy's music.
Band/artist history
Randy & Rena were not raised in singing families, although they both had familly members who had some musical ability. As a youngster, Randy and his siblings would put together concerts in his garage for family members and friends. His sisters and him would sing the songs they learned at church or heard on the radio.
Later on in life, Both Rena and Randy fulfilled that dream of being gospel singers when the Lord provided opportunities to sing in churches and other places.
Randy and Rena believes to be truly effective for the Lord's work, one must be willing to go wherever God sends.
I (Randy) got the opportunity to travel with a group that had their own tour bus. That was exciting, and we got to witness many souls being won to the kingdom of God. Rena also sang with several choruses and groups.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Randy & Rena love to sing anywhere the Lord opens a door. They sing in churches, fairs, weddings, funerals, and even civic event meetings and banquets if invited. Randy keeps people in stitches with his original and witted humor. One of their favorite places to sing is nursing homes. People in nursing homes are often times put there and forgotten about by family members, so they are a very appreciative audience. They love Randy's song entitled, "I'm No Chicken Anymore."
Your musical influences
Gold City Quartet, Hills Songs from Australia, Phil Cross and the Poet Voices, the Singing Cookes, and Carmon. They're also fond of Vince Gill, the Gaither Vocal Band, and the Oak Ridge Boys. Rena's favorites are Sandi Patti, Ernie Hass and Signature Sound, Steve Greene and Twila Paris.
What equipment do you use?
Right now, Randy has to hire others to do his recording.
Anything else?
Rena and Randy were married on September 7, 2007, and They hope to have many great years of minstry and God's work together. They are honored you took the time to come by their webpage...
