It all began with myself back in grade school when I took an interest in singing. Although my voice was never professionally trained, I continued to enhance my vocals from an early age. As time passed, when I was around 14 years old, I then decided to take up the challenge of being able to play the guitar, using only limited resources, strong determination, and a persuasive nature. :) During the time when I was attending college in my home province of Cavite, I got myself a regular gig for almost one year at a small, but renowned comedy club as a solo acoustic performer. That was the key stepping stone to establishing my sought-after career in music.
Since then in my college days, I later went on to play with a variety of bands performing covers mostly, but certainly opening my mind to a wide range of musical genres. I can't remember exactly when I happened to write my own original compositions, but I do remember they came to me quite natural, so I did a few basic home recordings just to see what kind of reaction I would get from people. Needless to say they were mostly positive. :)
This gave me the enthusiasm and inspiration I needed to continue writing, even if it was only for a personal reference with regards to moments in my life. If it wasn't for the warmth and motivation I received from all my friends though, I would never have succeeded so far already, especially with the reception I got from my first ever composition "Martir na Puso". The "Daydream" song. :)
Ok, so most of them up until now are sad love songs, but with messages of hope and influential dreams, though I am still experimenting with my sound and direction. Requires a lot of hard work for sure, but I have the faith and determination that I can make it to share with the world my music, my lyrics, my inspirations, & my life. :)Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes I play live at venues & bars in and around Metro Manila, Philippines
