RED SEED Mystic Music is comprised of passionate and professional performers

who have been long time leading edge contributors to the Bay Area music and

cultural creative forefront. World Beat Percussion, Didjeridu, Kalimba, Gongs &

Crystal Bowls combine to create enthralling, original and dancable World Fusion

music, Sound Healing, and Harmonic Soundscapes. Through spontaneous sustained

tonal layering, these sources merge to form resonant, expansive and heart-opening

sonic environments that imbue each event with its own unique magic. From slowly

shifting elemental journeys for meditation and sound healing, to pulsing world beat

percussion for all-out dancing, the rich sonic tapestry they weave is perfect for

concerts, moving flow Yoga meditations, rituals, ceremonies, movement facilitation,

conscious dancing, workshops, dance performances, parties, fire circles and community

gatherings of all types.

Sondra Slade (aka Auntie Matter) - Founder/Producer/Trance Percussion:

Doumbek, D'jembe, Klong Yaw, Talking Drum, Gongs, Shakers, Kalimba.

Sondra is a Percussionist, Ritualist, Writer, Teacher, Event Producer and

Herbalist. Her intuitive, organic percussion and shamanic sound “happenings”

have been enjoyed as a mainstay in the World Beat and Conscious Dance

community for over ten years. She studied New Music with John Cage and

Bill Russo, Classical North Indian music with Ali Akbar Khan and Shankar Ghosh

at Ali Akbar College of Music, and Middle Eastern Music at the Center for World

Music, where she first became involved in Sacred Sound as a spiritual path and

began journeying the mystical road of Trance Drumming as an integral part of

her practice of Kundalini, Bhakti and Anahata-Nad Yoga. She served as Adjunct

Instructor of Spirituality at Holy Names College, and on the faculty at GAIA Arts

Institute where she taught Sacred Sound for Transformation. She has produced

and performed with a variety of ensembles from World Fusion, Sacred Sound and

Spoken Word to Acid Jazz. She has just written "The Little Book of Odes & Inovations",

produces world music events, performs, teaches World Beat Trance Drumming, and

facilitates rituals and drum circles in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Kitty Wells - Crystal Bowls and Sound Healing

Divinely restorative, quartz crystal singing bowls create exotic, rich mystical tones,

and are excellent tools for meditation, energy and sound healing work. Kitty founded

the Sound Healing Studio of Silicon Valley and is accredited in Sound Healing from the

Globe Psychoacoustics and Sound Healing Institute of San Francisco, where she studied

with master teachers including Don Estes, Steve Halpren, Randy Masters, Richard Feather

Anderson, Joshua Leeds and Jan Cercone. She also studied with Dr. Jeffrey Thompson at

the Center for Neuroacoustic Research. 20 years ago she obtained her first Crystal Bowl,

using it mainly in meditation and calming practice while working in the high-stress pace

of Silicon Valley. Years later she was called to explore this personal treasure in more depth,

collecting 20 more bowls and delving into the beauty and mystery of these therapeutic

sound instruments.

GUEST PERFORMERS may be added, such as Didgeridu,

additional percussion, flute, oud, guitar, cello.
