Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I do play live! My wife, Whitney Keaton and I perform often together so any time we sing with each other is a special moment. I love being able to interact and vibe with the audience. It makes each performance unique.
Your musical influences
Though I do enjoy singing and writing mainly r&b songs, I can honestly say that my biggest influence is God. He gives me the inspiration to write or produce all my songs. I have great respect and admiration for the work of Donnie Hathaway, Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Luther Vandross. I'm a huge fan of Kim Burrell, the Clark sisters, and J. Moss. I also enjoy listening to Brandy, Destiny's Child, India Arie, Bryan McKnight, and Maxwell. Some of my favorite producers include Timbaland, Warren Campbell, Darkchild, the Neptunes, and Pajam. There are many more influences, but these are the most salient in my music.
