Quik of MDS Reckless
Straight outta Traver, California. I started writing lyrics at the age of 15 after hearing Dj Quik’s album “Safe + Sound” resighting all the lyrics to the music was then after donned the name Quik. In the summer of 1996 me and L started recording and formed the group MDS which stands for “MyDamnSelf” soon after, we added childhood friend Lok’E and later aquiring another member Airik and now known as “MDS Reckless” stating that I can make music by My Damn Self and don’t need nobody to do it. My intentions are simple I make music just to make music I make it for the hood, my family, and every one who’s willing to graps it and enjoy it but ultimately I do it for my Damn muthaf***in self. When I first started me, L, and Lok’E would just give it to a couple of the homies from time to time. So I see it this way it’s better to be heard and not seen then to have not been heard nor seen. After recording multiple mixtapes I feel it’s time to bring it to the people like we say what’s the worst that can happen?? They don’t like it.haha. so this is my music page starting off this year real big in a real way dropping my solo project “MDS Music Presents; Traverse & Elevation” Feb. 24, 2009 still dirty, still undaground QUIK IZ N DA BUILDING better let em know!!
