Purple Lounge Recordings
I sit in front of the boards, pilot the clouds and use rainbows as the easel for my vivid audio imagery.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started making beats when I was in middle school. My downstairs neighbor Bradford (Novel Coffee) was an associate of Nottz and he had a studio in his apartment. He used to be real loud and my aunt would send me down to ask them to turn it down, but he sat me in front of his Roland Fantom classic keyboard and showed me the ropes instead. That got me started. My dad got me a computer, I got ModPlug Tracker and Cool Edit Pro and got my start on that set up until I discovered Reason and Fruity Loops. I just want to follow in the footsteps of the greats and make it out of the bedroom. I've worked on MPC's, Pro Tools, Fruity Loops, and Reason for so long now it all just comes natural. In the past, I've also played guitars, bass, harmonica, keyboards, and violin. For a while, I was vocals for a hardcore/metalcore band and I still sing and rap my own songs and have interest in joining another band.
My interest in opening a studio comes from the passion to help create records that provoke feeling.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
