Composer, arranger and conductor, Przemyslaw Zych completed his composer’s education with prof. Zbigniew Baginski at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. Since 2004 he has been studying conducting with prof. Szymon Kawalla. In 2006 he participated in International Bartok Seminar (Szombathely, Hungary) working with Johannes Schollhorn, Peter Eotvos (composition) and Zoltan Pesko (conducting).
Przemyslaw Zych's works were performed at many concerts and festivals in Poland and abroad (Belgium, England, Italy, Germany, Ukraine, USA), by many distinguished soloists (Pawel Ksiazkiewicz, Robert Morawski, Anna Kutkowska-Kass, Malgorzata Panko, Lucja Szablewska, Monika Swiostek) conductors (Kent Hatteberg, Harald Jers, Jan Lukaszewski, Ewa Strusinska, Krzysztof Urbanski, Monika Wolinska, Jerzy Wolosiuk, Szymon Wyrzykowski) ensembles and orchestras (Wind Quintet BRINDISI, Kammerchor CONSONO, HOB-BEATS Duo, MOZART 2003 Society Orchestra & Choir, Polish Radio Orchestra, Radom Chamber Orchestra, Schola Cantorum Gedanensis, Sinfonia Varsovia, Trombastic, The University of Louisville Cardinal Singers, Warsaw Philharmonic Choir, WTS Choir).
He won awards and distinctions in several competitions for composers. In addition, his achievements in the field of piano playing are to be mentioned (K. Szymanowski Piano music Competition, Zakopane 1998).
Przemyslaw Zych was one of co-founders of Radom Chamber Orchestra and conductor of its first concerts. In 2007, he was an initiator and artistic director of „My splendid isolation – Karol Szymanowski Days” Festival in Radom.
He works with many Polish orchestras and ensembles, arranging music in different styles and instrument combinations (orchestral, choral, chamber, opera/operetta, jazz/pop, electronic/electroacoustic, theatre/film).
Przemyslaw Zych is also an author of many well received pieces for young musicians.
