Hello there! Welcome to the first of my side project spinoff's. When im not screaming at people with a big fat guitars and orchestra behind me in my main band Xerath (Djent Orchestral Groove metal...sounds cool yes? www.myspace.com/xerath), this is the kind of music I like to make. Its a combination of my favorite 70's and modern prog bands, and whatever im currently listening to, be it trip hop or death metal. I plan to keep this for the moment a studio project untill i have the time (can be arsed) to amass a group of musicians to actually play it live together, though due to Xerath commitments, this will likely take a while, but its a good opportunity to scour for a possible vocalist (as you will notice, the track playing is currently instrumental) Anyway, if you have any comments, queries or even audition questions, leave a message!!
Band/artist history
This is purely an escape from all the other heavier music i am involved in. I began writing after a relationship ended last year (cliched i know), but when all those emotions are flying about, you tend to make good music!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
As soon as my commitments with Xerath have eased slightly!
Your musical influences
70's Prog Rock, Trip Hop, Metal, Classical
What equipment do you use?
Lots of Line6 equipment, various acoustic and electric guitars (Gibson Nighthawk, Martin, Ibanez)
Oh God, I love this! It's prog genius, but not in a pretentious, chaotic way (like Cynic). But in a smooth, heartfelt way (like Riverside.)
Catchy rhythm guitar line - a very likeness to Yes - a lot going on, yet all well arranged. Vocals will really tie this song together. Expert musicianship! Cheers, Bob / RedEyeC
Nice piano / synth intro - song really has a rockin' touch - agree with the poster above, this one will be killer with a vocal track. Great production! Cheers, Bob / RedEyeC
An intensely interesting piece, well worth the listen. If/when vocals get put onto it, easily a piece worthy of classic Yes.

Oh! Once again this is simply moving. I love it so much. If you'd link your songs to paypal I'd totally pay for a copy of this. The singing strongly reminds me of Riverside (or maybe even a softer, more dreamy version of Tool). I'm also fond of the odd time signatures you have in your songs.
