Poproducties was started in 2004 by Popol ( known from ABN... www.a-b-n.be www.myspace.com/abncru ). He was working as a producer for Expa ( www.myspace.com/expawaytofly ) and a good friend since 1995, just had a first solo "album" finished called "Applaus Vo Mezelf" and found himself vibin' on the new sound of "DSP a.k.a Desperadoz"( www.myspace.com/0desperadoz ) a new band from his hometown "Deinze Stad" who gave him their demo asking for beats, a third mc and a studio. At the same time Popol was also doing recordings and mixes for Tox, Thabazzco, general good (fr), liberty sound, uruhu sound and BoobyTrap(now überdope). At first, Popol just wanted a name to bring all those projects together. With himself making all the beats, doing the recordings and mixing everything the name was obvious ... Popol-producties or PoProDucties a.k.a PPD
At that time, Expa was playing live all across the Flanders with the same playlist since 1999, Popol did some live shows with the AVMZ-album and ABN was still kicking it big.
DSP allready started working on their album "Unofficial RAP Presidents" in 2006. A new concept, a whole new sound, two languages mixed toghetter in 18 bombing tracks. One beat on the album is made by Sinima Beats (us) and another track was produced, recorded and mixed by Fgx musiq (be) The album was finished in Oktober 2008 and will be released... 20/02/2009
By now, Expa is busy recording their first full-album, Popol is working on his second solo-album "Ikke", we did a track called "Stick up kids" with Triple G, and Mr.Freez ( DSP ) is allmost done demo-recording his solo-album while there are still a handfull of bands waiting in line to get with PPD wich is now growing out to be THE belgian hip hop labelHave you performed in front of an audience?I started playing live in 1998 with the band ABN... we played all over Holland and Belgium (013, werchter, pukkelpop, marktrock and about 500 other places) and we're still playing...I also did about 50 shows with Expa and about 5 to 10 testcases with DSP... We'll see what the future will bring but it looks nice for all of us.
