A lifelong fan of storytelling in all its forms, Dash channels his creativity through writing and production, drawing inspiration from everyday experiences, the people around him, and the culture he loves. Whether he's breaking down classic battle rap performances, catching a baseball game, watching football or soccer, or diving into a late night horror movie marathon, he's always searching for the stories that connect people.

Yes, performing live has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. There’s nothing like connecting with people face-to-face and feeling the energy of a crowd reacting to your music in real time.

One of my favorite memories is seeing people who had never heard my music before start vibing with the songs and showing support by the end of the set. Moments like that remind me why I do this. I’ve also had the opportunity to share battle areas with talented artists, meet supporters in person, and represent Shurharlem wherever I perform.

Every show creates a different memory, but the most special moments are always when the audience connects with the message, sings along, or tells me afterward that a song resonated with them. Those experiences make all the hard work worth it and continue to motivate me to keep growing as an artist.

My influences come from a mix of hip-hop culture, real-life experiences, and the mindset of Shurharlem. Growing up, I was inspired by artists who weren't afraid to tell their stories honestly and use their music as a way to connect with people. I respect artists who combine strong lyricism, authenticity, and passion in everything they create.

Beyond music, I'm influenced by everyday life, the challenges, victories, relationships, and lessons that shape who we are. Those experiences give me material to write about and help keep my music genuine.

The East Coasts rich music scene and culture have also played a huge role in my development. The energy, resilience, and creativity inspire me to keep pushing forward and stay true to my roots. My goal is to take those influences and create music that is authentic, relatable, and uniquely Philly Dash.
