Phil and the phat cats are not playing as a band together anymore,its just me and the banjo player.We call ourselves:Kevin and The Philharmonik.In addition to our band songs we perform folk songs from Kevins solo cd's of which i play harmonica
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Phil cawston--Harmonica. Kevin Moore guitar and vocals.Up until now we were Phil and The Phat Cats.We formed in 2003 and played all over Dallas,Playing all original music is a tall order and a lot of people really have appreciated us,but at the same time it was really hard to get booked.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have been playing once a month at the Winedale Tavern for the last 3 years.We are now members of DSA Dallas Songwriters Association.

What equipment do you use?
Phil plays thru a Shaker Dynamic mike also uses a delay and an octave pedal pushed thru a 30 watt Marshal Valve State Amp.Kevin our guitar player uses a Fender Stat,and a Hamer guitar pushed thru an old Peavy 100 watt Amp.He uses Zoom Effects.
