Budwick is a songwriter for hire, with a wide variety of styles and genres available ranging from jazz, funk & blues to heavy metal. He is not looking for fame and fortune, but would love to one have someone else make a hit single with one of his songs.
Band/artist history
I'm a songwriter who has been involved in the music industry for about 20 years. Starting when I was 16, writing my own songs and playing them with friends in the garage. Later I played gigs for real performing with SPG, who nearly won a local battle of the bands, but the singer missed the finals. When I was about 19 I fronted the Australian Blues Brothers Tribute Band as the singer, and often performed my own material in that group, pretending to be the support act. I play several musical instruments, and like to write songs that are 'complete' in that every instrument has it's part written. I've been known to play Guitar, Bass, Drums, Harmonica and of course sing. Now I continue to write music, and would love to get back into playing live again, but for now am content to do stuff for fun with no real goals and dreams. The music industry has left me a little bitter, I feel that it's cruel to many musicians with real talent, slamming doors in their face while opening doors for those who are young and good looking. (and usually semi naked).
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not any more... But I would be up for something if the opportunity arises.
Your musical influences
I really have no set style. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, but everything I write is different. Influences could be names like Van Halen, Korn, Commitments, Blues Brothers, Vince Jones, 1927, and the 80's.
What equipment do you use?
Most I have used a piece of crap guitar & amp, crappy microphone, headphones, my ultracrappy voice and my PC. I use Cakewalk Sonar to do my sequencing and recording. I have a Zoom505II guitar effects unit, and all my other effects are built into Cakewalk. Recently I have updated my studio with a Presonus AudioBox USB which comes with Presonus Studo One recording software. So now I have made the jump from MIDI instruments to VST Virtual instruments. I like it. I have also finally got a decent microphone, a Behringer B1 condenser mic. It sounds fantastic compared to the old one.
Anything else?
Budwick says: "Hope you like my stuff. If you are a band out there looking for material please feel free to contact me and we can work something out. I have heaps more.."
