I was young once. Now I am not. I worked at it everyday and still do. I am busy and have never slowed down. Each day brought me closer to where I am now. I have had a life time in the business. What a pleasure it has been. Music is our island of happiness.
I’ve been everywhere man I’ve been everywhere. More places the that song mentions. (which is Canada, Mexico, the US, the Pacific Rim and other places too.
Played em. I was touring musician for more the 20 years. Now it is mostly in the Northwest, Washington,Oregon, Idaho,
I have never stopped listening I love it all from the 60S to now. Who ever is popping I am right up there jumping up and down on their shoulders.
I have many many of everything. Who would have guessed I would be privileged to have so much. I own a very nice pretty much state of the art soundstage and recording studio. So all the stuff that goes with a big building full of that. Can’t really list it. It’s just to much. The short answer: Take a few million bucks and go crazy. Then figure out what you forgot and go get that. I have more. It is time to tell the goodie bag secret. All that shit is useless without SKILL!! Don’t worry about getting it. You will find a friend with the gear to do your thing eventually. It is no substitute for PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, and LEARN, LEARN LEARN! Music resides in your hands, your head, your body. Not in the latest guitar modeler or SSL consul. I have a wall of guitars but one is with me always. The rest are I am not sure what or why. I do love my Stienway piano and that will make you a better player but it the exception to the rule trust me. If you are good you can make you $100 dollar cheapie sound like a Les Paul or Strat. If you don’t take the practice seriously your Les Paul is gonna sound like a $100 bucks. Seize the Day My Friends. Cheers F.
Persistence makes it’s own luck. Own your shit don’t pass the buck!
