"I can't get past what my ear retrieves?"

All of the sudden, I remember gasping for a breathe of smoke filled air. The plume was intoxicating. When I came to I was heads up and knee deep in what was to be a strangling sound that made me sick to my stomache.

Then, I was stuck... I could not escape the Protard abomination. Rolled over and force

fed myself another hit of Protard, then another, then another... never knowing I was to become addicted until it was too late.

If any of you have ever tasted Protard, then it's too late for you as well.

Sit back, relax, take another, then another,

then another. This is all you have left."

Band/artist history

Revived from a once-moist and stinky pile found behind a couch in 2005, Wes and Bob sally forth all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, committing themselves to three years of endless late-night charades and premature aging.

It's true.

This fabulous, haphazard duo were famous unto themselves for no other reason than to satisfy their own personal amusements and to relentlessly mock any serious attempts of those deemed too big for their damned britches.

And oh my, how those boys could mock...

Most of the Protard output was tracked. But, on rare occasion an 'outsider' would feel sorry for them just long enough to leave an audible, percussive statement.

These rare exceptions include Mechanisms of a False Reality drummer, David Pinkerton, sitting in for a Po' Tools abomination titled, "Go Suffer Somewhere Else" (2008); badass-unfortunately-turned-Christian, Randy Husbands Schuffert teamed up with Wes briefly in 2007 to pen "Dead Things Smell". Newcomer stickman, Jerome Vanderburg, sat in for a Thanksgiving 2008 living room session that yielded "Besame Nacho Libre", in addition to being present for two of the tracks on "You Got Some On Your Face" (2014). Lastly, Manu Patel hosted a Christmas party jam at Magnolia Diner in 2009 with Wes and Bob. That evening ultimately yielded the trance-psychedelic, "Noodling For Treasure".
