AYO it's da kidd. Some call me "Balla' B" and some call me by my most talked about song title, "20G's." But in my opinion it's not the name that counts. It's what a person has the courage to do, no matter what the consequences may be. In my case, I rap. I don't judge myself as far as talent, I do it because it's what I want to do, and I enjoy it. I may be a minority to my genre, but I won't step aside. Some people go against me, and others support me, in some cases because they like my style, and others because they appreciate my courageousness. I'm Jus' tryna do what it is I do, and I'm not going to let anything stop me from being who I am.
I am Currently working on an album which will hopefully be released soon. It's scheduled for Sept. 11th. Check back for updates.Have you performed in front of an audience?Ya I do. I do some shows up at The Labyrinth in Downtown, Jamestown NY. That is definitely fun. I love performing in front of people. I remember my first time there and I wasn't actually the main event there my friend was. But I performed one song and the crowd kept cheering for me to do more songs... so I did. That really made me feel good about what I was doing.
Your musical influences
I gotta throw my respect toward Lil Wayne, even if he did steal a few lines from songs, and his old songs when it was ghostwritten. I'm talkin about the NEW Lil Wayne... ya know? and I gotta say people like 50 Cent and Eminem. People who made it from the bottom to the top and got what it takes to remain there. I give them alot of props.What equipment do you use?
My computer... built in mic, not rich enough to afford a nice 200 dollar mic ya know? I just record and use this editing software on my comp to make it sound studio quality.Anything else?
I just wanna shout out to all those people in the business for the right reasons you know? and I shout out to all that they should always support local music... ya know? That's how people get heard. That's how it is.
