One Hour Photo
Singer/songwriter, writing mostly alternative/indie rock music inspired by "serious" alternative artists such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Bloc Party and Bjork. I have a particular disdain for the stereotypical, ostentatious "sex n drugs n rock n roll" aesthetic. I much prefer to concentrate on musical development through texture, structure and harmony, than use flashy 10-minute guitar solos and riff-rock wankery.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have been writing my own music for 9 years, and am a degree qualified music technologist. Early influences were Oasis and The Beatles, whereas nowadays I draw inspiration from a wider range of sources, particularly alt. rock, electronic and classical music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
A few open mic nights here and there.
