Welcome to Enchanted Casualties: confessions of a self-convicted pixie diva/piano worshipper
Band/artist history
hroughout her entire life, Julieanne Dous has been a consummate, multi-faced artist. To her, there are no boundaries among the creative media, and that all are catalysts to the healing process. Julieanne began singing at the age of three, after hearing one of her father's beloved Petula Clark vinyls. Soon, she was receiving piano instruction, and maintaining active involvement in both her school church's music programs. At fifteen, she took a 4-year break from music, in order to concentrate on academics, fine arts, and her competitive figure skating career. With the advent of her college career, however, she soon returned to her first passions: fine arts, music, and writing. Tori Amos' "From the Choirgirl Hotel", specifically, inspired her to return to the piano. By the age of nineteen, she was writing timeless masterpieces that appealed to audiences of all ages. In June, 2004, Julieanne joined Marienkind, a Philly-based darkwave group. Due to creative differences, however, she and Marienkind have recently decided to part ways. Julieanne is now embarking on solo music and professional art careers. Next year, she plans to enroll in Lesley University's Expressive Therapies masters programs. It is her dream to one day create therapeutic programs that utilize all forms of creative expression.
