Nina Ross, also known as, "The Real Nina Ross" is originally from Philadelphia, PA but has been living in Atlanta, GA since 1998. A true universal MC and a leader of her own kind, Nina Ross proves she has something different and new to offer this game. A breathe of a fresh air and an extremely talented songwriter, she steps outside of the typical "rap artist" or trend and travels on the road of unexpected. She writes musical concepts based on her true life experiences and lets you know who she is, what she's been through, where she has came from and where she is going.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Of course...in Atlanta mainly but I do travel and I will travel. Yes I have but I won't get into that right now.

Your musical influences

Life... especially My Life. My style has always been labeled as "different", "unique" or having its "own lane". At first I didn't really know what the hell genre I was mixing into my music. I just kind of made it up and went with the flow in my head. But to give it words of description for someone who never heard my music... its basically a blend of gangsta/realist rap with the same aggressive tone and lyrics. Mixed with a trip hop style of voice pattern, melodies, and beats with the unique contralto female voice that I possess. My voice is the rarest and lowest female "singing" voice possible. That contributed to the way I flowed and sang over tracks.

What equipment do you use?

My day to day life that inspires me to write real songs that actually mean something- as well unique topics that go beyond the average person and their beliefs. My mind to make sense out of what I am thinking and writing- the lyrics must be lucid and there should be a lesson in at least some of what you preach, no matter the lesson. My swagger that adds to my character and lets you know I'ma natural born star- and that I didn't go through all this bullshit for nothing. My humbleness that lets me be real with myself and others even when the whole world's frontin' and raising the "bar" to levels in reality they don't even live up to. My Gangsta that's the strength and courage... "my balls and my word" or "my heart and heat" that has kept me alive to this day and made me stubborn and fearless enough to never stop. My voice that's not afraid to be heard- even if what I'm about to say is unheard of. Then its just...My Pen and my pad...and those blazin' versatile beats for my versatile flow.
