New Kingston
New Kingston Band is a young vocalist/instrumentalist group that consists of three brothers. Tahir a.k.a. SLIM the youngest member ..boards/Vocals. Courtney the middle on Drums/Vocals. Stephen a.k.a SUKI the oldest on Guitar/Vocals. This group fuses their Reggae sound with modern Pop, Jazz and R&B music to create their sound; Reggae Crossover. This group has been in the Reggae industry for some time now, some might call them "young veterans", all led by the founder/manager/father Courtney LJ Panton. He started the Kingston Crew in the early 90's backing such artist as Shaggy, Shabba Ranks, Maxi Priest and many other artist in the business. But with his offspring he formed an army, a force, an entity, the New Kingston Band. They started off backing many artist such as Collie Buddz, Mr. Vegas, Morgan Heritage, Sister Carol, Shabba Ranks, and many more. But while backing up all of these artist, manager Courtney LJ Panton had another vision. He had an ulterior motive for the New Kingston Band to rise to the top as a solo act, to stand alone and capture the love of the people. Thus fore we created our sound Reggae Crossover, a blend of sound to everyones liking but still sticking to the heritage.
