Nessus

Nessus is a progressive rock band now in its infancy. Most of what we have here is jams and grooves to get into the process of recording.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started playing guitar in 1978 started doing some home recording in 1982 with others or by myself mostly 4 track. Recoded some songs in my friend Tim Bergs studio in Seattle in 2001 on 16 track ADAT.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Now it is just me in the studio. Got a small studio called a Boss BR 80 I record rhythm guitar lead guitar and bass into that. Getting those big sounds is so unremarkable you will have a laugh if you see it.
Your musical influences
Yes, Uriah Heep, Paul Gilbert, Pat Metheny, Dave Brubeck, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Jeff Beck, Spocks Beard, Flower Kings, Chet Atkins, Pink Floyd.
What equipment do you use?
Pretty cheap and basic stuff. Fender 2004 Lite Ash Strat, 2001 Carvin Kitbass, Boss BR80 I get all the effects and amp models out of the BR80
Anything else?
The Boss BR80 that I use makes recoding so easy after so many years of amps effect pedals 4 tracks and drum machines this does it all and does it better than what I had before. I recommend guitar players get one for a headphone amp and to do some basic recording with.
