Nemanja Stosic
I am Nemanja Stosic (eng. Stoshich), and I come from Belgrade, Serbia. My hometown is Vranje, Serbia. I am a composer and a recording artist...also an accordionist, keyboardist, graphic designer and graduated architect.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started composing while in music school (2001), and still doing it, beside being an accordionist. Recording and producing since 2016. My intension is to sell my melodies/songs to beatmakers, or as movie/game soundtracks. I had numerous clients, mostly for my compositions, and one for my orchestral composition and rough music production (the biggest military corporation in my country).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I performed live many times in front of an audience as younger. I have two special memories: one when I performed with music teacher from elementary school in theater, when he started to sweat and worry, but I didn't have that issues. Second, I had a couple years after that a performance in one culture center in my hometown, where I invited people I know from high school and street (along with one girl I liked back then). The most interesting part was after performance,, where I had an interview in the front of the camera, and nobody didn't know I was (the first) interviewed, unless they saw me on TV screens.
Your musical influences
My biggest influence was my music teacher (professor) in elementary music school. I began composing in front of her. She called all the pupils ,,little kittens'', but I was the first one who called her ,,cat professor''. Also, my sister was the first influenced challenge for me, because whenever she played piano in duet, I needed to compose something for the piano (I really doubt she knows this). Nowadays I'm using her as a reference before, and after finished composition.
What equipment do you use?
As it can be seen on my pictures, my equipment is: 1 accordion, 1 darbuka (oriental Arabic percussion instrument), 1 maracas (Spanish shaker), 2 midi keyboards and 1 midi controller.
Anything else?
Be yourself.
