The thought of building a record label for struggling musicians, was the dream for Canadian Underground Hip Hop artist Johnny "Nemesis" Touch, and longtime Producer and Beatmaker friend Jimmy "Calibro" Sutherland. The dream was hatched Six years ago when the two friends meet at a Freestyle Convention in the grimmy backstreets of Toronto. Unfortunately neither artist won in their respected categories, but both did win the respect for one another. Thus the groundworks for NC RecordZ! began.
Two years after the fated meeting at the Freestyle Convention, both Johnny and Jimmy started working on demos. Due to the very sampled based beats and the smooth laidback flo, the two artists' found their Comfort Zone, as the pair started dishing out classic hits all over TightBeatz.com. With tracks like "Can't Find My Love" and "My Way of Life", the two quickly rose to stardom on the very competetive site.
On August 12, 2005, a fatal accident occured which took the life of Jimmy Sutherland. NC RecordZ! is in remembrance of his stage name Calibro, hence the C in NC.
Johnny Touch, now the CEO of the self own company is continuing to work hard to sign and promote local artists' who have a nack for bringing something innovated and fresh to the table.
Artists like Dario Balca, a guitarist and one of it's kind in the Ottawa District is one of the first artist to sign with NC RecordZ! as a Classical Gas musician. Others include Stephen Shugar, the bass/guitar/beatboxer of the Group E'ClipZ, along side Elliott Martin; the Keyboardist; Somron "Kritikal" Touch; one of the Lead Emcees; and Johnny Touch; Lead Emcee.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, our artists' here at NC RecordZ! all have experience playing live. Mainly at local venues such as The New Bayou, Hardrock Cafe, and Mavericks to name a few. As for any special moments, the moment any NC RecordZ! artist becomes Mainstream.
