Music for Video
My band consists of myself and a studio full of equipment:
..everything from magic boxes to computer software.
I get to play all the parts.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Been a musician all my life. Played all sorts of music.
Favorite instruments are guitar, congas, harmonicas, and synthesizers.
Currently writing intricately structured, emotive, dimensional music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I haven't played live for a while, and since my music often has 16 to 24 tracks, that would be tough.
I am still tempted sometimes.
Your musical influences
I have been exploring the melding of electric guitar and synthesizers..
..everything from, "Lightning Under My Hat" to "Adrift On an Emerald Sea".
What equipment do you use?
Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster, Fender Cyber Deluxe amp, Digitech GSP-1101, BBE 882i, Yamaha keyboard, Behringer mixer, custom built DAW running Adobe Audition 3 and Reason 4, and Klipsch speakers..
..oh yeah, and miles of cable. :)
Anything else?
After doing a lot of collaborative work over this last year, with musicians from all over the world, I have found a new sense of freedom.
A freedom to express subtle nuances of mood, a freedom to explore uncharted territory, and a freedom to live outside the box where I belong.
Then when someone appreciates my work, the circle is completed, and you just can't beat that in my book.
