Band/artist history
July 2002- Named after my oldest daughter, AngelRose Independent Entertainment Services opened for business, a unique hybrid of audio installations and productions. After struggling to gain a foothold in the market I decided it was time to re-evaluate my company January 2004- After taking on two partners, one, a student of acoustics taught in the acclaimed physics department at hillsdale college, and another with 30 plus years of office experience, AngelRose restructures and changes it's name to: AngelRose Sound & Entertainment LLC Summer 2006- Several projects take shape, others fall through Fall 2006- Investments roll in. Moved company out of the house and started planning our studio. Q1 2007- 4 New Releases scheduled...stay tuned
Your musical influences
Born in 1972, I was lucky enough to be poor, and live in a immigrant community. I say lucky because as a kid I was witness to the underground music scene giving birth to: Rap, and Metal, as well as watching Conjunto circumvent the pop music industry and grow into a mature, powerful industry of it's own. From this point on, NOTHING in my life would be "pop". On weekends I spent my time with the family band at the local Elks Club, or moose lodge wedding receptions. This is when I first felt the power of a good show. As a child I obsessed over music, but never picked up any instrument until I was 11 yrs old. My father comitted suicide, and his guitar fell silent... I picked up my dads guitar but my acting out due to the emotional strain kept my attention span very short, I would get frustrated easily because I didn't have his chops. I was very confused because I was gifted enough to create beautiful layers of audio by creating my own "four bar songs" on almost any instrument by the time I was a teen, but I wasn't competent as a live musician. How could I make it work? It would take almost 20 more years to figure it out. I literally gave away the next 15 years of my life, I dropped out of school, I ran away from home, I dropped out of trade school, etc. Deeply depressed I jumped from the production line, to the food service industry, stopping in the middle to lose a wife and daughter and landscape a while. As I hit rock bottom two things happened, I fell in love (something I swore I would never do again), and I was homeless. I was one of the best paid janitors working the night shift in the state of Colorado yet I was living under a bridge, a park, and sometimes in a youth hostel. When you work alone all night long and your homeless you have a lot of free time on your hands, these long hours of introspectiveness led me to a revalation...I had turned my back on the only thing in my life that had brought my soul peace, music. In the following three years I quit my janitorial job, learned the art of hard disk recording, became employed as a custom a/v installer, and served an internship in a recording studio owned by internationally acclaimed pianist Jordan Oliver.
