40+ years in the music industry as a composer, musician (keys), and audition judge, I am now retired and compose my own backing tracks for others to add their talents to.
I've listed my genre as Rock, Rock General, but I have many genre's that I compose, from country to reggae, but I do not and will not compose any of the so called music of today, such as EDM, HipHop, Trap, and Rap.
Band/artist history
I was born into music, my father was a concert pianist, and I started playing a piano accordion when I was around 8 years old, and after that I was sent to the royal schools of music in London where I graduated the highest grade as a classical pianist, then over the years, I played in several local bands in the UK and also here in the US playing mostly oldies 50s and 60s rock and roll, such as Little Richard, etc etc, then I taught myself the guitar first the acoustic, then the electric, then the pedal steel, then I started with various other bands playing hard rock using various synths.
Fast forward quite a few years, I had a basement studio built where I record and play most of all the instruments heard on my backing tracks.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Many times, I didn't think much of it, at one time when I was playing in a band in the UK, we played at the Milton Keynes Bowl.
Your musical influences
Transiberian Orchestra, Jean-Michel Jarre, Meatloaf, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Within Temptation and many other Gothic bands, as well as a lot of the artists from the 50s and 60s, such as Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, The Beach Boys, and Roy Orbison.
