It's just me. I love music. More importantly, I love making music. There's not much to introduce. I'll let my music introduce me.
Band/artist history
I fell in love with music at a very young age. Since I was around my Granny a lot, I grew up on artists like The Dramatics, The Temptaions, L.J Reynolds, Johnny Guitar Watson, The Spinners, Teena Marie, and Barry White just to name a few. This is why some of my music has these artists' feel to it. I always liked what was current on the radio but I was really stuck on that "Old-School" flair. I never could get away from Old-School music. A lot of the time though, that really got on my friends nerves because they weren't "there" musically. So in retrospect, I believe my career started in my Granny's kitchen and I asked her (when I was about 2 years old), "Granny could you play that 'beg 'n peed fo yo syn fa fee' song?" LOL I was talking about Ain't too Proud to Beg by The Temptations.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've been a musician for about 13 years now (trumpet playing). I've performed every where from store-front churches to Carnegie Hall. I like performing but I think my passion is making the music...
Your musical influences
Ryan Leslie. That man is a beast. Then there is Rich Harrison. His whole approach is crazy. He uses so many acoustcial aspects of music and throws them into the digital age. Some times, I don't think the public is ready for his mind lol. Besides that, all the great Old School artist like the ones I mentioned.
What equipment do you use?
Mac all they way. Reason, Fruity Loops, Pro-Tools, Phantom Keyboard, and Monette trumpet equip.
Anything else?
I'm really looking to change the way we Americans percieve music. It's time for a new era. I'm here to usher it in...
