Growing up in Kalamazoo Michigan, the tough but sweet Finest (20) described himself as, always been a troublemaker but the teachers could not understand why, because I was also such a sweet and genuine person. I would give my last to anyone I love and not look for anything in return. Most people don't come real like that anymore. He also explains how it was growing up in Kzoo from some times having the lights cut off, to his twin brother facing a murder charge and getting sentenced while he was in middle school, having to live with mentors to stay out of trouble, and battling depression in early years of high school. To lose over 100 pounds, escaping from negative energy, Finding love with music, and accomplishing full self love & self confidence, Michigan's Finest is on the right path to bigger things!
Finest says, I started getting into music around middle school. I used to go to this after school program and summer program and it was this guy named Mr.randle from Bang town productions, a recording company. He really saw the talent in me before I did. He used to have me do everything from the mixing, to the production, to the recording. I was really like the star of the group & program we used to have to perform at the end of the summer program every year. At first I was scared but he got it out of me. That was my music introduction then later on I would venture out and teach myself how to mix and master my own vocals & songs. This was a crucial stage in my music journey. I just recently fell 100 percent in love with music as a whole.
I look at music as the connector of the universe and I know my mind is like the universe supercomputer. I look at music as art, energy, and emotion. I like music that makes me want to get lit or move my head. My favorite artist growing up was Lil Boosie, Kevin gates, G Herbo, Lil Bibby, and Chief Keef. Then when achieving self love & self confidence is when I turned into Rockstar Finest. Now my favorite artists are Juice Wrld, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Trippie Redd, and a plethora of SoundCloud artists. My inspirations would have to be Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, and Prettyboyfredo which is a youtuber. I didn't leave my hood upcoming behind but I learned how to block negative stuff out my life. Bye now! I have a generation to lead."
