Indie Pop

I'm an old 60s and 70s player who gave it all up 50 years ago. Until a relative was diagnosed with cancer and I wrote her a little song, which has turned into a passion for writing. A 75 year old "new" writer and won't stop now, gotta make up for all the music I missed. Peace!!

Band/artist history

I started playing in the late 60s and early 70s. Played in a band that did a tribute to the Beatles but unfortunately, we disbanded, so I took a 50 year break and raised a family and ran a successful business. After I retired, the old guitar beckoned me and started playing and fiddled with a couple of tunes I had in my head. Now I am obsessed with writing music and now co-writing. Nice way to spend my retirement, I play everything on all the songs, except drums. and do all the vocals (as good as a 75 year old can). Sure hope ya find a tune or two you like, make this old man happy!

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Played back in the late 60s and early 70s, smallest crowns, about 2, largest crowd about 13,000 that is a little nerve wracking. Our group was the first in the U.S. to do a tribute to the Beatles, until the early 70s and disbanded. But crowds really weren't too scary after awhile we got excited to get on stage.

Your musical influences

Loved groups like, America, the Doobie Bothers, Joe Cocker, Cream and so on. The biggest influencer for our group was The Beatles

What equipment do you use?

Ovation acoustic guitars (3) a Fender strat, Gibson EB3L Bass, Yamaha acoustic guitar, a Roland keyboard and whatever else you can give me to play
