I was working in Poughkeepsie New York at IBM and met some blues players at a Monday night open Mic night. The guys hosting liked my playing and we started the "Well Dressed Blues Band" We were quite popular but after 6 months our lead singer split and went to San Francisco to follow his dream. Our Drummer Donny Strofalino hooked up with a local wedding band that has been very popular in that area for 20 years or so but were itchin to have more fun and play the night club blues scene. Donny asked me over to a rehearsal and we hit it off. Michael Alan was trhe leader and arranger of the band he wrote out all the music charts and I just followed them and had out 1st gig a week after I joined them with only 2 rehersals. They played very lively blues tunes and he let me solo alot. The band was alot of fun and these recordings were made just 1 or 2 weeks of playing out together. About 3 months later we were booked solid every Fri-Sat-Sun. My IBM job started laying off people so I had to take a transfer and leave the band with just 2 weeks notice. A real drag because as you can tell from the songs we had alot of fun and I can only imagine how good we could have become if I had stayed there and giged with them. What equipment do you use?
Fender Strat with humbucker pickup at the neck position. Mesa Boogoe Mark IV Tweed Combo Amp
