Matt (aka SpitFire)vocals Mac (aka Starsky)guitar Hutch (aka The Other White Guitar Player) guitar Smiley (aka The Show) drums T-Bone (aka This Guy) bass Ben (aka Mr. Fiddle) violin Merlot To Ashes brings a vast array of musical styles to the table and all of this combined gives the band a very distinct sound. Heartfelt relevent lyrics that tell stories and deal with everyday issues and struggles. How would you describe the music: rock/emo/punk/hardcore I think would fit, there is such a mix. Most importantly we as a band want nothing more than to make great music that will allow us to share our faith with others. Were not trying to save the world but if we can help one person I guess that's really all that matters. A little background: Early in 2007 the band Supersede decided to call it quits due to members moving away and wanting to move on. Former Supersede guys Matt and Mac wanted to continue to play but were not sure where to begin. Later in the year they began playing with Travis (former bass player of UnXplained) and Hutch (formerly of Hollow Point/aka Under the Son). Through Hutch they meet Brian (who played drums with Makiah Coakley) and Ben who plays (now wait for it) violin. Don't be deceived by the word violin, its going to rock!
